HTC Touch Pro2 with TouchFLO 3D
Solution For over a decade, we've been able to say that PocketBible is compatible with all commercial Windows Mobile phones and handhelds (though they haven't been called "Windows Mobile" for that entire period), without needing to be concerned with specific phone models. Such was the strength of Microsoft's Windows Mobile standard.

Unfortunately, the HTC Touch Pro2 is an exception. This phone uses what HTC calls TouchFLO 3D and it appears to introduce some incompatibilities.

Customers have reported a variety of issues, including:
  1. PocketBible never starts.
  2. PocketBible starts after 30 seconds or so.
  3. PocketBible will start immediately, but only after another tap (details below).
  4. When PocketBible is running, other programs cannot be started.
One customer did extensive experimentation and discovered a simple work-around that allows PocketBible to start.
  1. Tap Start.
  2. Tap All Programs.
  3. Scroll to PocketBible (as needed), then tap PocketBible.
  4. Tap Start again.
This last tap of Start is the key that causes TouchFLO 3D to actually start PocketBible.

Other customers have reported that PocketBible works fine if TouchFLO 3D is turned off. This obviously isn't an ideal solution, as TouchFLO 3D is one of the features that makes the Touch Pro2 an enticing phone.

Other developers have reported compatibility issues with TouchFLO 3D as well. Hopefully, a TouchFLO 3D update will be forthcoming to address these issues.
